The Q&A Archives: Dwarf Banana's Brown, Mushy Center

Question: I cut back my Dwarf Banana Trees and All the centers are brown and mushy. They are dead - Correct??

Answer: Mushy is never a good sign. However, don't dig the roots just yet. They may be perfectly healthy and could produce new sprouts. Give them another month to perform. If you don't see any new growth, the plants are dead and should be replaced. Let's hope they sprout again!
