I have a load of vines growing along my stonewall and don't know what they are. They are invading everything and I can't seem to get of them. They have an orangish root system and they seem to never end. I've tried digging, pulling, Round-up, etc. I don't know what else to do.

Based on your description I think it may be oriental bittersweet which is both terribly invasive and has orange roots. You may find the following information from the Plant Conservation Alliance helpful in planning your eradication strategy. The recommend mechanical methods and specific herbicides and how/when to apply them for maximum effect:

Good luck!
