What bushes and flowers are drought reisistent and grow well in the sun and shade in southern Texas?

There are a lot of options. The following web site from Austin will list a lot of great choices:

Some of my personal favorites for sun include Yellow Bells (Tecoma stans), Salvia 'Mystic Spires', Bulbine (yellow or orange types), and 'Silverado' Cenizo. In shade I like to use Hinkley's columbine (spring blooms), shrimp plant, and Aztec grass (a white liriope looking plant).
