What bushes and flowers are drought reisistent and grow well in the sun and shade in southern Texas? |
Janell, There are a lot of options. The following web site from Austin will list a lot of great choices: http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/gro... Some of my personal favorites for sun include Yellow Bells (Tecoma stans), Salvia 'Mystic Spires', Bulbine (yellow or orange types), and 'Silverado' Cenizo. In shade I like to use Hinkley's columbine (spring blooms), shrimp plant, and Aztec grass (a white liriope looking plant). Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
