when is to start your outside gardening and planting flowers

You can start soil preparation as soon as the ground is workable, meaning not frozen and not too wet and muddy. Most plants are set out around the last frost date. If you are planting seeds, some can be planted a bit earlier than that. Check the seed packets for directions. You can check your average date at the following government web site. You may need to cut and past the complete url into your browser to make it work correctly.
