Sarah,

Mow, mow, mow. Every 5-7 days mow and see if you notice that grass is starting to get established. If there is little to no grass then it may be best to kill the weeds by spraying a product with glyphosate on the area giving it a week to work, and then rototilling the area lightly. Then lay new sod and keep it well watered for a few weeks to give it a chance to become well established. Six weeks after planting start to fertilize the turf.
