If I plant these Unwin dahlia tubers I bought at Home Depot, will they make it thru the hot Atlanta, Georgia summer and survive? ( I purchased them in Oregon and know they bloom beautifully in Oregon) Should they be planted in shade or direct sun? How far apart should they be planted and when?

Donna,

Dahlia tubers can survive your summers if provided moist but not soggy wet soil. I would choose a morning sun afternoon shade location and plant them about 2 feet apart.
