Is there any tree I could plant in full sun that has a narrow trunk and doesnt spread out to much. The height doesn't really matter but I would have it close to the house so I need something narrow.

Arborvitaes are typically tall and narrow. Their deep green, cedar like foliage would perfectly complement most landscape plantings. I'd try Holmstrup Arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis Homstrup). It grows 5-7 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide. There are taller cultivars available and most arborvitaes maintain a width of 2-3 even in maturity.
