The Q&A Archives: Spring Freeze

Question: How to protect my roses and flowers from the upcoming freeze?

Answer: New growth is especially prone to damage from a late spring freeze. If it is predicted to be a light freeze (less than 2 hours of 32F weather), you can protect your plants by draping sheets or towels over them. Be sure to take the covers off as soon as the sun comes out. You don't want to cook your plants under those protective covers!
