The Q&A Archives: White mildew powder on holley bush

Question: I have white mildew looking powder on one of my Beuford holley bushes. What is this and how can I get rid of it before it spreads.

Answer: Alice,

Hollies are not normally prone to powdery mildew. It could be residue from minerals in irrigation water. I suggest you take some leaves to your County Extension Office for them to examine and diagnose. Then they can make suggestions for dealing with the problem.
