I purchased a beautiful weeping cherry tree. I followed all the instructions for planting, but the tree's limbs have turned dark and the flowers all dropped off.. Any ideas? Some say the tree is fine and just adjusting to being planted. But I just wanted to check

Tanya,

That is a tough call based on that description. I suggest you snip a section of branch with a few leaves from the tree and take it in to your County Extension Office for them to look over and diagnose. Perhaps with a sample in hand they can determine the cause and prescribe an appropriate solution. In the meantime keep the soil adequately moist but not continually sopping wet.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
