The Q&A Archives: Propagation of Amaryllis seed

Question: How long should the seeds of Amaryllis be allowed mature on the stalk before they ripen?

Answer: Amaryllis are members of the lily family and grow from bulbs. It's not likely you'll get one to grow from seed. Your amaryllis can be propagated from the new little bulblets that grow from the mother bulb.
