I am going to be removing a pecan tree that is about 25 years old and plan on replacing it with an oak tree. Is there any thing special I need to take into consideration? (soil/roots) |
Jesus, Not really. Don't put the new tree in the exact same spot as there will be lots of roots in they way. Choose a species that meets your own needs and interests, which will live a long time. Your County Extension Office has suggestions for such trees. The following web site is very helpful: http://harris-tx.tamu.edu/hort... Plant it properly. See the following web site for instructions: http://texastreeplanting.tamu.... Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon! |
