I don't get much light in my garden, but would like to plant some flowers and foliage. Someone recommended Begonias, Impatients and Hosta. Would you have any other recommendations for flowers or foliage that are easy to grow, do well in the shade and will not die in the winter?

Here's a list of perennials which are happy to grow in the shade:
Astilbe, Bleeding Heart, Coral Bells, Ferns of all kinds, Foxglove, Ginger, Hosta, Lily of the Valley, Lobelia, Monkshood, Pachysandra, Primrose, Solomon's Seal, Toad Lily and purple wintercreeper. You might also try lobelia and colombine.

Enjoy your shade garden!
