The Q&A Archives: Lemon bottlebrush

Question: Can you please tell me when is the best time to prune my bottlebrush shrub/tree?

Answer: These plants typically don't need much pruning. Just remove dead, broken, diseased,or weak branches in early spring just before new growth starts, or prune after bloom finishes. Never remove more than one-quarter of a plant annually.
