I am going to be purchasing Burpee's season-long strawberries. How far apart should they be planted? |
Strawberries should be spaced about 1 1/2 to 2 feet apart in rows, with 4 feet between the rows, to allow space for the runners they'll send out. Be sure to pinch off the flowers the first year so your plants will put all of their energy into growinghealthy crowns. Next year you can allow the flowers to remain and harvest the berries. |
