We have been battling shrews in our garden and flowers. Do you have any idea how to get rid of them? We have been setting our mouse traps but they still keep multiplying.

Shrews are actually beneficial in that they are predators of voles and other pests, so if shrews are present you might have a problem with voles rather than the shrews themselves. The most effective methods of controlling voles (and moles) involve trapping them. You might want to consult with your county extension for a more definite identification of the animal and suggested methods of controlling it.
