We live in central Missouri and our plants were intensely damaged by the April freeze. Should I cut back damaged leaves on perennials like hostas, daylilies, roses, etc.? How about young trees and shrubs? The leaves on many are completely dead. Please help! Leslie |
The best action is no action - at the moment. Allow your plants to recover from the freeze and begin new growth. Once they've started to produce new leaves and stems you can safely prune away the damaged plant parts. Hope the damage isn't too severe! |
