| I WANT TO START A GARDEN. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO? I NEED PLANTS THAT GROW WELL IN THE SUN OR SHADE BECAUSE I HAVE A TREE THAT SHADES MOST OF THE AERA WHERE I WANT TO PLANT. ALSO MY LAWN HAS ALOT OF WEEDS. DO YA'LL HAVE SOME THING I COULD PUT DOWN TO GET RID OF THE WEEDS BUT WOULDN'T HURT MY GRASS? |
| Mistye, I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you. I assume you mean a vegetable garden. Give the fruiting vegetables and those that produced edible roots in the most sun you can and put leafy vegetables in the less sunny spots. The best way to get rid of weeds is to grow a dense healthy turf through proper mowing, watering and fertilizing. Your local Home Depot has weed control products available but these products are not a replacement for a good turf care program. Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season.
