The Q&A Archives: adding drainage to your yard

Question: What is the easiest way to had drainage to your yard

Answer: Karla,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you. Redirecting water away from problem areas with rain gutters, downspouts and subsurface pipes is one option. Changing slopes with terraces will also help. Finally you can have a professional install subsurface drainage pipe if your lot characteristics are suitable for such a system.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
