We live in a townhouse with a tiny backyard. I would like to grow a little bit of grass in this area. We have a dog that likes to use this back area and the grass I have tried to grow will die out in the spots he uses. Is there anything I can do to actually grow grass and let my dog roam when he wants to?

There's really nothing you can do to keep dog urine from killing the grass except to hose the area down as soon as possible to dilute the urea. You might try placing a temporary barrier to keep your dog from roaming the entire yard, moving the barrier periodically so the grass can recover.

Wish I had a better solution!
