I am wanting to grow banana squash. With our weather, would I encounter any problems starting them now? |
According to the vegetable planting guide from the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension office, these are the best times for sowing squash in the low desert: Summer squash: after mid-February up to mid-April, and then again from mid-August to the end of August. Winter squash: throughout March, and then again from mid-July to the end of July. These are guidelines. Your microclimate and each year's weather can influence results. Good luck with your squash! |
