| If your mulch material is thick enough, it will suppress weeds without the need for additional materials. Rather than using black plastic, if you feel the need to use a weed barrier, I'd suggest using one of the spun polyester weed blockers. They allow water penetration and let the soil breathe so it doesn't become sterile. |
