strawberries, blueberries - Knowledgebase Question

i live on the edge of the midatlantic/new england devide, can i grow these, if so when to plant?

Yes you should be able to grow these. Keep in mind that blueberries have special soil needs, requiring an acidic soil that is organic and humusy yet very well drained. Strawberries need a rich soil that is evenly moist yet well drained. Strawberry plants are usually set out in early spring as soon as the ground can be worked and when the plants become available. (They are sold in bunches as bare root plants.) Blueberry bushes are often sold as container plants to be set out in mid to late spring. Enjoy your berry garden!
