| This is a difficult weed to control unless you use the correct herbicide. In the lawn or on an extensive area, use an herbicide containing Triclopyr to control chickweed. Be sure to read and follow all of the label directions for best results. In a flowerbed, pulling is effective. Watch for it to germinate in the fall as well as spring -- it is a cool season weed. On the other hand, it is an annual weed so once you control it there should not be a recurring problem. |
