The Q&A Archives: frost

Question: is there anything special I should do for my
bradford pear tree and my azalea after being
hit with this recent frost?

Answer: The best action is no action - at least not right now. Wait a few weeks until your plants recover and begin showing new growth. At that time you can prune away the winter (or late spring) kill. Your plants should put out enough new growth to compensate for the missing branch tips.

Best wishes with your landscape!
