Trying again - I'm a newbie -- I have never planted veggies before and I want to give it a try. What is the easiest thing to grow?

Rachael,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you.

Easy vegetables include squash, green beans, and okra. In summer the first two will have trouble producing well due to the heat. By fall they are again a good option. The following web sites offer a planting schedule and lots more great info to help you in your Texas garden:

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
