The Q&A Archives: Ants in Garden

Question: I have ants in my veggie garden, what can I use to kill them. I do not want to use chemicals?

Constance Brown

Answer: Constance,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you.

Ants are not a pest of your garden plants. If you still want to kill them you can drench their nests with boiling water but just take care to not get it on the roots or foliage of desirable plants.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
