The Q&A Archives: Spraying pear tree

Question: What chemical should I spray on a pear tree pre-blossom? Location Michigan.

Answer: Use Bordeux, also called lime/sulfur, a general-purpose fruit tree spray. This is available at most garden supply stores. The general schedule is to spray at bud swelling, at petal drop and again about 10 days later. Be sure to read and follow the label directions.
