Hostas and cold weather - Knowledgebase Question

Because of the recent freezing temperatures, my hostas froze. (I was out of town and didn't get them covered). How long should I wait before determining if they are dead. Some appear to be coming back, others look like

Cold damaged hosta leaves definitely look terrible. While those frozen, damaged leaves will not recover, hopefully the plants will have enough strength to send up new growth from the roots and releaf. Be very patient waiting for them to send up new growth, at least several weeks or possibly even into June. Hostas are very resiliant plants so I would expect them to recover eventually.
