When is the latest time i can plant. I am in zone 8b it says with zip 70517. Also I heard fruit trees need 2 together to bear fruit. Do they all need 2 or just some? |
Darlene, I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you. You can plant container grown plants on into summer but you have to provide good care watering enough to keep the root ball moist but not so much that it stays soggy wet. Fruit that need 2 varieties for pollination include apples, blueberries, some pears, and most plums. Fruit that do not need 2 include figs, persimmons, peaches, nectarines, and grapes. Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon! |
