Rooting a Rose clipping - Knowledgebase Question

I have a clipping of an old fashion rose and would like to know how I can root it.

Nell,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you.

Rose cuttings can be dipped in premoistened rooting hormone and then placed in a loose planting medium and covered with a clear cover. Then place it in a bright spot out of direct sunlight and in a few weeks it should be rooting. The following web site offers more info on how to do this:
