| Virginia, I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you. Carefully lift it out and remove the styrofoam. If you need to trim a few roots that is okay. Then place it in the new holder putting some rocks among the roots if you wish. Those plants are tough and because they sit in water will not go into much stress from a little root loss. Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season.
