| This is an annual weed that usually appears where the lawn grass is not as vigorous as it should be. Good lawn care practices that encourage healthy lawn grass should go a long way toward controlling this and many other weeds. There are some pre-emergent controls that can be used on grass burrs, however. Please check with your local county extension for specific advice as to what is available in your state adn the correct timing for applying it.
