Question: I just bought a cattleya orchid. I've seen people growing orchids attached to a tree outdoors, and they look beautiful. Can I do that and if so what are the basics I need to know to so I can get a helthy plant and flowers. I appreciate your advise. Thanks.

Answer: Karelia,

I apologize for this delayed reply to your gardening question and hope it is still helpful to you.

Cattleyas can be grown in a cool shaded ourdoor location. The following web sites give great information on growing orchids.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
