The Q&A Archives: Ground covers for sandy soil

Question: I have sandy soil and would like to fill in an area under my patio, which is boxed in on the south side of my house. I would like to fill it with a nice ground cover like sedum or myrtl, but need plants that can handle full sun with partial shade under patio. I live in upstate New York.

Answer: I think sedums are your best bet. There are plenty of varieties available including Dragon's Blood (one we carry), most do well in full sun or light shade.
