Moles do not damage plants. They do eat grubs and other insects which can be beneficial, and moles also help to aerate the soil. The best way to get rid of moles if their tunnels are causing a dangerous situation is to trap them. Here is information about moles you may find helpful.

If you are finding that plant roots are being eaten, you more likely have a problem with voles. Here is information about voles.

If you are having trouble with skunks, please contact your local animal control authorities for advice.

Crabgrass is an annual weed that can be prevented by applying a pre-emergent crab grass control product such as corn gluten. This must be spread very early in the season, preferably about when the forsythia blooms in your neighborhood.
