We purchased two Blue Princess Hollies last Spring & planted them in a western exposure. This winter, they became windburned or winterburned & on one a lot of the leaves have browned. Can they be saved? There are still some green leaves remaining. Thank you for your help. |
I expect the hollies will rebound once the weather warms up. I wouldn't do any pruning just yet. Even though branches have dead leaves, they may still develop healthy new leaves to take their places. Give the plants another 2-3 weeks to begin growing. Once you can see where new growth will take place, prune back anything dead. Best wishes with your hollies! |
