PLEASE GIVE ME SOME IDEAS FOR ANNUALS THAT BLOOM WELL IN THE SHADE. ALSO SOME TALL ANNUALS THAT I CAN ALSO PUT NEXT TO MY FENCE THAT BLOOM IN THE SHADE. THANKS, PAT

Unfortunately there are not many annuals that will do well in shade. You could certainly grow impatiens and several types of begonias. Caladiums will also do very well in shade. You might also look at foliage plants for color such as coleus, perilla, and variegated English ivy. Some of the fancy leafed begonias can grow to about two feet tall, as can perilla and larger caladiums. You might consider using hanging planters or putting a shelf for potted plants on your fence to add color there.
