The Q&A Archives: Changing the color of stone edging

Question: I would like to change the color of our stone edging. How can I do that, and still make it look like natural stones?

Answer: It's possible to paint the edging with concrete paint. To make the stones look natural, you'll want to use a solid base coat (your color choice) and then dab on one or two complimentarly colors and smear them altogether. You can find color chips at your local Home Depot, along with illustrations for faux painting that will help you complete your project. Best wishes!
