Figs in Colorado - Knowledgebase Question

Can I plant figs here in Colorado Springs, region 5b? I would rather plant them in the ground and not in containers.

Fig trees would not withstand your winter temperatures in the ground. If you want to try them in containers to move indoors, note that most varieties need a long period of very warm temperatures to bear a good fruit crop so read their descriptions carefully to see if they are suited. Good luck!
