Would it be better to start seeds indoors or outdoors? If outdoors, which would be the most profitable way? I live in zone 11. thanks

Sunflowers sometimes resent being transplanted so I'd sow the seeds directly in the garden rather than trying to start them indoors. The seeds like warm soil and your soil should be warming up within the next week or two. Sow the seeds about an inch deep in your flower bed and keep them watered. They should sprout within 10 days. Enjoy!
