The Q&A Archives: putting lemon tree outside

Question: 4/25/07 Is it too early to put lemon tree outside? I have a couple of blossoms but some of the leaves are yellowing and falling off.

Answer: The lemon tree should not be exposed to temperatures lower than about 55 degrees. You could set it outside in a sheltered location on nice days and bring it indoors whenever the temperature drops. But, I think it is probably still too early to just leave it outside day and night.
