I can't get anything to grow under our three trees. Do you have any recommendations that don't require a lot of water? Thanks.

As you've discovered, it's hard to get anything to grow under a pepper tree. The dense shade and dry soil will drive most plants to distinction. However, I've found that Vinca minor (periwinkle), Hypericum (St. John's Wort), or Rose of Sharon will usually grow beneath pepper trees.
