I have some agave cactus in the front of my house and I am wanting to transplant them to the back yard. How do I go about doing this without getting stuck by the cactus?

David,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

That is not an easy task. You have to cut off the leaves that are near the base so you can get to the base to dig. It will take time and effort but it can be done. If the agave is a giant one you may need several people or a piece of equipment to lift and move it.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
