Do you think my Jap. maple tree will come back? it's 2 years old and about 4 feet tall. It went through an awful frost. the tips are turning brown and dying. I feel so bad it was in full bloom(leaves).

Rhonda,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Most likely the trunk and branches of the tree are fine and will resprout in time if not already. Just trim off the dead growth after it resprouts and you can easily see where it died back to.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
