painting a resin urn - Knowledgebase Question

I bought s large urn that is made out of resin and it is black. Can I paint it an antique white or gray? If so what kind of paint would you suggest?

Use an oil based exterior paint for best results. Since the urn is black, you'll need at least one, possibly two, coats of primer, followed by the antique white or gray finish coat. You find find both the primer and the top coat paints in either brush on or spray on formulas. Check with the helpful folks at your local Home Depot for more detailed information.
