The Q&A Archives: When to Plant

Question: I would like to start planting in the garden now is it to soon for tomatoes, peppers, radishes, and just simple basic vegetables. Thank you, Helen

Answer: I know you're anxious to get started, but if you put warm season veggies such as tomatoes and peppers out right now, they'll just wither away. Wait until after May 20th in your region to start those, but you can sow seeds of radishes and lettuces now, as well beets, broccoli, peas and beans.

Best wishes with your veggies!
