Last year I purchased nerium oleander. It flourished until the first freeze, then I cut it down 3-4 inches from ground. It's almost May and there is no sign of life. I'm wondering if I should give it more time or replace it. The label says its cold hardiness is 10 to 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Is it going to grow back? |
Most oleanders are only considered winter hardy to zone 9. There are a handfull of varieties that are considered hardy into the warmer half of zone 7. However your zip code places you in winter hardiness zone 6 so I would not expect it to have survived the winter outdoors. I'm sorry I can't be more encouraging. |
