We had a freeze that burned the new leaves on my hydrangeas--mop heads and lace tops. What whould I do abou the leaves--oick them off, do nothing, or cut back the burned section? Thank you for your help.

Linda,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

I'd cut back the burned leaves and stem areas for aesthetic reasons. With the arrival of warm weather and good care they'll produce new growth and should be fine.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
