I recently purchased three knockout rose bushes, they bloomed beautifully. However, now they have a bunch of dead blooms on them. Should I trim off the dead flowers to make room for new? Or should I let them fall off naturally?

Katie,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Either is fine but if you shear back the plants following bloom cycles and then provide a little fertilizer and water it in the plants will respond with new growth and lots more blooms.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
